About the Danish Club of Washington, D.C.

Established in 1931 as a not-for-profit social organization, the Club just recently celebrated its 75th anniversary and has more than 300 members from all age groups. Members consist of people interested in Denmark and Danish culture, some of who are of Danish descent, some who have immigrated from Denmark to the D.C. area, and some who just enjoy the fellowship of the Danes and their culture. Review the bylaws for purpose and organization of the Club.

The Club offers a variety of events designed to bring together members interested in learning about Danish culture and in preserving Danish traditions. Movie Nights, Family nights, Danish dinners, celebration of Danish holidays, cultural, and educational events are just a small taste of our calendar of events.

Become a member and feast yourself on Danish traditions, culture, food, family and fun. Come to one event or come to all.

There is something for every member to enjoy. Discover and promote your heritage, and be a part of your local Danish community. The friendships and benefits you receive from being a member of The Danish Club of Washington, D.C. will be immeasurable.
